We start in a blackout. In the darkness we hear a buzzing coming from the stage. It gets louder. And louder still. It swallows the audience. Then suddenly stops.
LIGHTS UP
Fulvio is a fly on the brick wall. Literally. He buzzes for a moment. It’s kind of like he is talking to himself. He rubs his “hands” together and looks around the room. Then he lifts off and starts to fly around in a circle. Then he lands back on the wall again.
BLACKOUT
LIGHTS UP
Lauren and Fulvio are flying around the room, Are they chasing each other or just going about their normal business? At one moment they stop and stare into each others eyes. Is this what life is about?

The flies are arguing. Whose fault was this? It’s terrible. Stephanie starts to cry. She buries her face in her honey.

The buzzing of the flies that was so robust at the top of the play has diminished sufficiently. They are slowing down. They look around at where they are. This new land they have come to. It’s sad.
